trouble loading jedi-vim after install

My issue is possibly similar to link
but thought I'd ask jic. I'm on osx and trying to use jedi-vim. I installed jedi using pip and then jedi-vim by cloning into the dir that my vim config uses for loading packages. this one for reference. When I start vim with a python program I get the "Please install Jedi if..." message. I cloned vim 74 and configured with +python and +conceal. After still getting the error I looked into the code and found it was an import error.
As an aside, this isn't the best help message. Better might be "Unable to import jedi. Have you installed Jedi?"
I tried import jedi from within vim, as :python import jedi

If this is a build issue, is there a good reference for building vim on mac?

import healpy unicode error with enthought canopy python

I'm running Ubuntu 12.10
Enthought Canopy Python 2.7.6 64 bit
I have succesfully installed healpy using the direct Healpix configuration as well as using sud pip install healpy, and have made sure PYTHONPATH was set accordingly in the bashrc.
When I try to import healpy I get this unicode incomparability related error:

Related issues have solutions that require rebuilding. I'm not sure how to go about doing this, and was wondering if there is an easier solution. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Trouble installing Pygame on a Mac

I've installed Python 2.7 and Pygame on my Mac, but every time I try to 'import pygame', I get this error message:

This is a typical architecture issue. Try a
file /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pygame/base.so
If one of the result lines includes your architecture (e.g. i386), then the problem is not from the package itself, but from the way you launched it. Try then to launch it from a 32 bits instance of Python:
python2.7-32
>>>import pygame
NB: you can guess your architecture with
uname -m

Why isn't MySQLdb installation working on my 64bit Mac

I think the problem must be the 64bit version of python and mysql and the img _mysql.so must be 32bit

I install MySQLdb just by modify the mysql_config.path = options['mysql_config'] in setup_posix.py and then rebuild like this python setup.py build and install,the mysql_config is point to your mysql

I can import MySQLdb,but it doesn't work in pydev
I checked the location of MySQLdb module in python shell like this :
import MySQLdb
print MySQLdb.__file__
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/MySQL_python-1.2.3-py2.7-macosx-10.6-intel.egg/MySQLdb/_init_.pyc
then I add the egg to my pydev lib.it works

Do you have multiple versions of python installed? It may have installed to your non-default version and therefore won't work with it.

msession not defined

I am trying to run this example program - http://pysnmp.sourceforge.net/examples/1.x/snmpbulk.html
I am on Mac OS X, and I installed pysnmp by -
$ sudo /usr/local/bin/pip install pysnmp
Now when I run the program I get -

How do I install them? and would it better to install from the tarball from webpage directly?

which version of pysmnp did you install? The example you're trying to run seems to be suited for the 1.x version of pysnmp.
Here I've found examples for the newest 4.x version. Note they don't use msession so I guess it was removed.
EDIT: Looks like now you have to install pyasn1 from here...
I don't use OSX so I don't know what's the better method for installing software on it. On ubuntu I just did apt-get install python-pysnmp and the whole thing was installed.

pyasn1 has been depended by pysnmp. So you could just type:
