django.db.utils.IntegrityError: CHECK constraint failed: (JSON_VALID("sub_title") OR "sub_title" IS NULL)
Can anyone clarify why I am getting this error?
You Faced This IntergrityError Because Your model sub_title does not have a null Field and You Direct do Change JsonField.
JsonField required null=True and Previous Field (sub_title) doesn't have null=True which means you have some value in those filed. After your migrations that Field already has value in the String for that reason, you got this error
django.db.utils.IntegrityError: CHECK constraint failed: (JSON_VALID("sub_title") OR "sub_title" IS NULL)
put that same Previous field and Add Constraint Null=True then apply migration after successful migration used then remove all Value from those Filed
Then You Change CharFiled to JsonField with constraint Null=True, Blank=True
JSONField(_("Sub Title"), blank=True, null=True)
Then apply Migration. it will definitely help you resolve this problem.
This is happening because field 'sub_title' has values earlier which are not valid json.
Table probably already has values for 'sub_title' field and you are changing trying to change earlier fieldtype to jsonfield if this is the case, you should update all values to valid json first.
I keep running into the django.db.utils.DatabaseError error with trying to migrate the database changes in a Django project.

django.db.utils.DatabaseError
I am stumped on how to solve this issue. I have tried sqlparse==0.2.4 as suggested here but it did not work for me.
Deleted everything in the migrations folder and started from scratch. The same error pops up but now it is even longer.
I understand there is a not implemented error but not sure how to fix it.
The models.py:
from djongo import models
class User(models.Model):
age = models.FloatField()
height = models.FloatField()
waist = models.FloatField()
weight = models.FloatField()
I have the following model
class Profile(models.Model):
user = models.OneToOneField(User, on_delete=models.CASCADE, related_name="profile")
image = models.ImageField(default='default.jpg', upload_to='profile_pics')
location = models.CharField(default=None, max_length=5)
def __str__(self):
return f'{self.user.username} Profile'
I was testing some things out and put null=True for location. Then I changed it to default=None. After that when I tried to run makemigrations followed by migrate.
I got the following error

I have been tryed to change a django model by applying and running migrations but I have been getting this error django.db.utils.IntegrityError: UNIQUE constraint failed: new__startup_home_mates.user_id How can this error be fixed? I have already investigated a lot but I have found nothing that fits my situation. If you need to see more code please let me know:)
You may added a primary key / id with your models later, but previous database does not have it.
If you add new features to models, add default='something', or null=True,blank=True as arguments. So that old database won't need the unique constraints/value
I suspect that your problem is with your OnetoOneField with unique set to True. You should change this to a ForeignKey (and don't set Unique = True). This is so that users can have more than one mate. That is if I have correctly understood your model setup and what you are trying to achieve.
Here is a good summary of the differences between OnetoOneField and ForeignKey:
What's the difference between django OneToOneField and ForeignKey?
my app named mainsite
I have the table class named Weather in models.py
class Weather(models.Model):
tpr = models.CharField(max_length=5)
wet = models.CharField(max_length=5)
ur = models.CharField(max_length=5)
li = models.CharField(max_length=5)
observe_time = models.DateTimeField(default=None)
I don't want my observe_time set any deafult value
So I set to None .
I have made migrations.
when I made migrate

mainsite_weather__new.observe_time
I don't know what caused this error.
thx.
In order for this to work you should also make this field nullable and blankable, like this:
observe_time = models.DateTimeField(default=None, blank=True, null=True)
or omit default=None completely, like this:
observe_time = models.DateTimeField(blank=True, null=True)
Also, after that, don't forget to delete the previous migration file and run makemigrations and migrate again.
