How can I install the package vtkplotter with this Python version?

It appears that vtkplotter has migrated to vedo (Link to GitHub repo with installation instructions). Maybe you are better off using vedo for newer Python versions.

Use pip or conda or whatever to install your package.
If you find that a certain version of Python is not compatible with a specific version of a library, you can make a virtualenvironment with a specific python version that is compatible with the package, activate the virtual environment, and then install your package.

you can install it by conda
To install this package with conda run one of the following:
conda install -c conda-forge vtkplotter
conda install -c conda-forge/label/cf202003 vtkplotter

I installed the latest version of Python (3.6.4 64-bit) and the latest version of PyCharm (2017.3.3 64-bit). Then I installed some modules in PyCharm (Numpy, Pandas, etc), but when I tried installing Tensorflow it didn't install, and I got the error message:
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement TensorFlow (from versions: )
No matching distribution found for TensorFlow.
Then I tried installing TensorFlow from the command prompt and I got the same error message.
I did however successfully install tflearn.
I also installed Python 2.7, but I got the same error message again. I googled the error and tried some of the things which were suggested to other people, but nothing worked (this included installing Flask).
How can I install Tensorflow? Thanks.
The latest requirements for running TensorFlow are documented in the installation documentation.
TensorFlow only supports 64-bit Python
TensorFlow only supports certain versions of Python (for example, Python 3.6 is not supported)
So, if you're using an out-of-range version of Python (older or newer) or a 32-bit version, then you'll need to use a different version.
I installed it successfully by pip install https://storage.googleapis.com/tensorflow/mac/cpu/tensorflow-1.8.0-py3-none-any.whl
There are a few important rules to install Tensorflow:
You have to install Python x64. It doesn't work with x86/32b and it gives the same error as yours.
Python versions later than 3.8 and Python 3.8 requires TensorFlow 2.2 or later. Check for supported Python versions.
For example, for TensorFlow 2.9, you can install Python3.8.6-64bit and it works like a charm. Check the latest information on the website.
if you are using anaconda, python 3.7 is installed by default, so you have to downgrade it to 3.6:
conda install python=3.6
then:
pip install tensorflow
it worked for me in Ubuntu.

If you are using python-3
Upgrade pip to the latest version using py -m pip install --upgrade pip
Install package using py -m pip install <package-name>
If you are using python-2
Upgrade pip to the latest version using py -2 -m pip install --upgrade pip

Tensorflow 2.2.0 supports Python3.8
First, make sure to install Python 3.8 64bit. For some reason, the official site defaults to 32bit. Verify this using python -VV (two capital V, not W). Then continue as usual:
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
python -m pip install wheel # not necessary
python -m pip install tensorflow
As usual, make sure you have CUDA 10.1 and CuDNN installed.
Tensorflow isn't available for python 3.8 (as of Dec 4th 2019) according to their documentation page. You will have to downgrade to python 3.7.
I am using python 3.6.8, on ubunu 18.04, for me the solution was to just upgrade pip
pip install --upgrade pip
pip install tensorflow==2.1.0
Uninstalling Python and then reinstalling solved my issue and I was able to successfully install TensorFlow.

So here's the message that I got on a M1 Pro while I was executing
python -m pip install tensorflow-macos
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tensorflow (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for tensorflow
I then re-installed python from the official source:
https://www.python.org/downloads/macos/
(Yes, as stupid as it seems.)
I then followed the Apple tutorial for Monterey:

Any over version 3.9.x there is no support for TensorFlow 2. If you are installing packages via pip with 3.9, you simply get a "package doesn't exist" message. After reverting to the latest 3.8.x. Thought I would drop this here, I will update when 3.9.x is working with Tensorflow 2.x
Apple Silicon (M1+ Chip)
If you are using a Mac with an M1 chip or higher, you need to install Tensorflow metal plugin for compatability with your architecture.

Looks like the problem is with Python 3.8. Use Python 3.7 instead. Steps I took to solve this.
Created a python 3.7 environment with conda
List item Installed rasa using pip install rasa within the environment.
Worked for me.
Running this before the tensorflow installation solved it for me:

I had this problem on my macOS (with M1 Pro) even with the latest 64-bit Python and the latest pip installed. This is how I've solved it. Try to run:
pip install tensorflow-macos
If you will get the error ending like this (like I did)...

Tensorflow seems to need special versions of tools and libs.
Pip only takes care of python version.
To handle this in a professional way (means it save tremendos time for me and others)
you have to set a special environment for each software like this.
An advanced tool for this is conda.
I installed Tensorflow with this commands:

uses virtualenv. Conda is more capable. Miniconda ist sufficient; the full conda
is not necessary
use python version 3.6 or 3.7 but the important thing is you should install the python version of 64-bit.
In case you are using Docker, make sure you have
FROM python:x.y.z
instead of
FROM python:x.y.z-alpine.
This issue also happens with other libraries such as matplotlib(which doesn't support Python > 3.9 for some functions) let's just use COLAB.
Slightly different issue for me but I will still post an answer here. tensorflow package is working, but not tflite-runtime.

I solved the same problem with python 3.7 by installing one by one all the packages required

Install the package
See the error message:
couldn't find a version that satisfies the requirement -- the name of the module required
Install the module required.
Very often, installation of the required module requires the installation of another module, and another module - a couple of the others and so on.
This way I installed more than 30 packages and it helped. Now I have tensorflow of the latest version in Python 3.7 and didn't have to downgrade the kernel.

Installed Anaconda 4.3.1 (64-bit) which contains Python 3.6 but pip3 missing, cannot install tensorflow

I downloaded the latest stable Anaconda install off the Continuum website which turned out to be Anaconda 4.3.1 (64-bit) and comes with Python 3.6.0. I am in a Windows 10 environment.
However pip3 is missing and I cannot install any Python 3.x packages via pip3.
What am I doing wrong?
If you do not have another environment installed python 3+ will default to just pip I believe since pip3 is just an alias for pip.
pip install --upgrade pip
or You can do it with the associated Python binary too; if it executable as python3, then use that:
python3 -m pip install --upgrade pip
after that check:
pip --version
otherwise just try pip-3.6
for tensorflow on conda:

Since this wheel had a version that is undesirable we could instead install
the wheel directly from gohlke's windows binaries repository :
download the wheel for python 3.6 from here and then install the wheel:

how to get opencv_contrib module in anaconda

Can anyone tell me commands to get contrib module for anaconda
I need that module for
matches = flann.knnMatch(des1,des2,k=2)
to run correctly
error thrown is

Also I am using Anaconda openCV version 3, and strictly dont want to switch to lower versions
P.S. as suggested at many places to edit file cv2.cpp option is not available with anaconda.
I would recommend installing pip in your anaconda environment then just doing: pip install opencv-contrib-python. This comes will opencv and opencv-contrib.
Anaconda supports pip install to install package into conda environment. You can download OpenCV 3.2.0 with opencv_contrib from this well known Unofficial Windows Binaries for Python Extension Packages website. See the filename below for the right version. Then type the command in Anaconda Prompt window to install the package:
For Python 3.5 and 64-bit Windows:
pip install opencv_python‑3.2.0+contrib‑cp35‑cp35m‑win_amd64.whl
For Python 3.6 and 64-bit Windows:
pip install opencv_python‑3.2.0+contrib‑cp36‑cp36m‑win_amd64.whl
Most of the OpenCV 3.2.0 packages in Anaconda repository didn't specific if they come with opencv_contrib. The pip install approach is easier and proven, see one of the SO post. The only drawback is that conda list will not show pip installed package there but actually it's.
However, if you want to have trial on conda install, below is the command for installing OpenCV 3.2.0 for Python 3.5 or 3.6 but likely without opencv_contrib.
conda install -c conda-forge opencv=3.2.0

These anaconda packages include the contrib modules with base OpenCV3. Though the file list says it's currently for Windows only!
The question is old but I thought to update the answer with the latest information. My Anaconda version is 2019.10 and build channel is py_37_0 . I used pip install opencv-python==3.4.2.17 and pip install opencv-contrib-python==3.4.2.17. Now they are also visible as installed packages in Anaconda navigator and I am able to use patented methods like SIFT etc.
Method 1: in Anaconda Prompt write this, will install opencv-contrib v4.6
pip install opencv-contrib-python
Method 2: Install previous version of opencv-contrib v3.3.1
According to https://anaconda.org/michael_wild/opencv-contrib it says it support win64bit only and python 3.6.x.
So, first you need to create new enviroment support python 3.6
conda create --opencv_contrib36 python=3.6.13
then, install the packages
conda install -c michael_wild opencv-contrib
There is repo in conda-forge which includes opencv-contrib: https://github.com/conda-forge/opencv-feedstock
To use it:

if you run into Numpy error, try pinning more recent version (of Numpy).

I want to install Tensorflow 1.o for python on windows.
This is information for my system.

But, when I execute below command,

to find the list of all the urls based on the python version and CPU or GPU only refer to:
https://www.tensorflow.org/install/pip
Tensorflow requires a 64-bit version of Python.
Additionally, it only supports Python 3.5.x through Python 3.8.x.
If you're using a 32-bit version of Python or a version that's too old or new, then you'll get that error message.
To fix it, you can install the 64-bit version of Python 3.8.6 via Python's website.
Tensorflow on windows needs python 3.5. You can follow following steps to activate python 3.5 in anaconda:
See which version of python you have: conda search python
If you already have python 3.5 then go to step 3
otherwise use conda create -n py35 python=3.5 anaconda to create python 3.5
Activate python 3.5 using activate py35
Now install tensorflow using conda install tensorflow
If step4 is not working i.e, something like "tensorflow: no package found " then follow this tutorial to forge conda-forge channel and then try installing tensorflow using step4. It worked for me.

From your python version output, looks like that you are using Anaconda python, in that case, there is a simple way to install tensorflow.

The TensorFlow package couldn't be found by the latest version of the "pip".
To be honest, I really don't know why this is...
but, the quick fix that worked out for me was:
[In case you are using a virtual environment]
downgrade the virtual environment to python-3.8.x and pip-20.2.x
In case of anaconda, try:
conda install python=3.8
This should install the latest version of python-3.8 and pip-20.2.x for you.
And then, try
pip install tensorflow
Again, this worked fine for me, not sure if it'll work the same for you.
The Reason is that TensorFlow is only available upto python versions <= 3.6. You can't download tensorflow for python versions > 3.6 as there is no tensorflow.
If you don't want to downgrade your entire python version for a single package, do this:
create a new virtual environment for that project (using anaconda)
conda create -n <env_name> python=3.6.8
activate the created environment using conda activate <env_name>
Now install pip install tensorflow
note: If tensorflow dosen't install : try install keras module first and then try installing tensorflow

How to use conda to install Github package specutils?

I am using Anaconda python (2.7) on my Windows 7 machine. I want to install specutils which is a associated package for Astropy.
conda, as I understand, can installs binaries using conda install <package> command. My question is
where can I find the binary version of the specutils in the above cited repository.
How do I install specutils using conda?
You can install specutils with conda:
$ conda install -c astropy specutils
This installs specutils from the astropy anaconda channel (I'm almost certain that you can find the binaries there). If you want to install the development version you can also use:
$ pip install git+https://github.com/astropy/specutils.git#master
There are no stable releases of specutils yet, but you can install it by doing:
git clone https://github.com/astropy/specutils.git
cd specutils
python setup.py install
