Installing Rasterio

I tried installing Rasterio library using command- pip install rasterio and also used conda commands in anaconda cmd, both are didn't worked and it's taking too long to install so I aborted the process. Let me know in detail how to install raserio library for python?
I tried with installing GDAL and raterio whl file by using pip commands. It got installed, but when I tried to import module- it's giving me an error saying No module found. Please help to fix this.

I just had the similar problem, and tl:dr the issue for me was multiple environments, like Ameya said. Here's a longer version of Ameya's spot-on answer with steps to diagnose and fix.
Without realizing it, I had two environments going on: my jupyter notebook was running python 3.10 and my global python was running 3.9, and each was looking for site-packages in different locations (/opt/homebrew/Cellar/jupyterlab/3.4.7/libexec/lib/python3.10/site-packages vs /Users//Library/Python/3.9/lib/site-packages).
This happened because I had trouble with getting python and specifically jupyterlab running on Monterey and the only fix for me was using homebrew to manage the packages. Anything I installed with brew from the command line, went into /opt/homebrew/Cellar... etc and could be seen by my jupyter notebook. Anything I used pip install to get from within an open notebook also went onto this path that my notebook could see. But anything I used pip install from the command line to get, went to the path of the global environment's site packages. Then, my jupyter notebook couldn't see them.
You don't mention that you are using jupyter notebook but perhaps something analogous could happen between multiple environments for you.
You can check if this is the case for you by doing the following:
start python from the command line
import sys
run sys.path
start jupyter notebook, or start python from your other environment
same thing, import sys, run sys.path
Are they the same? If not, probably pip is putting your rasterio in other python env site-packages.
To fix, you can either pip install from within your preferred environment, or copy and paste the site packages corresponding to rasterio from one site-packages location to the other.

What is the difference between installing a package in my Windows CMD and in VS Code terminal?

I am doing this project where i need to install a package called Twint.
I want to install this package and use it's commands in my VS Code.
What happends when i for example type this in my Windows CMD?
pip3 install --user --upgrade git+https://github.com/twintproject/twint.git#origin/master#egg=twint
Because i can't type this in my VS code terminal, where i usually install packages with pip.
It will return an error that says ERROR: Cannot find command 'git' - do you have 'git' installed and in your PATH?''
Now if i run this in my Windows Command it seems that i can't directly import the package in VS code?
Can anyone help me out with this confusion, where does the files get stored and how do i create good habbits around installing packages?

It is often the case that computers have more than one version of python installed and that editors like VS code use a different version than pip uses on the command line. pip installs packages where the version of python it is linked to expects them to be, but VScode doesn't know to look there.
It sounds like you have git installed where pip installs things, so you can upgrade from the command line without issue, but there's no installation of git where VScode is looking, so there's nothing to upgrade.
You either need to find where pip installs things and add it to the $PATH VScode uses, or try running a variation of python -m pip install --user git (specifying a specific url, or other things, as needed) from within VScode, which will ensure the package gets installed in a place that VScode looks for packages.

Download and Install git in your windows from here:
https://git-scm.com/download/win
Then add its installation bin path to your windows's environment path. Then you will find the git command at the command prompt globally.
This may solve you problem.

Python module not found after installing anaconda

Hope everyone is doing fine :)
I'm new to python, so I'm having trouble cause I've installed anaconda (for machine learning) and now, my local projects in VS Code with python, don't find modules installed from pip install.
I've searched online and I guess it has something to do with the path... Here's the path when I install the module:
user_stuff.../opt/anaconda3/lib/python3.9/site-packages
I want to install modules into my project on desktop, here's the path:
user_stuff.../Desktop/python-project
I keep getting this error when trying to import:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'qrcode'
How do I change this? It's really frustrating :(

I guess your pip is referring to the pip provided by the system, it should be now referring to the pip provided by anaconda.
$ which pip
$ alias pip="/Users/my-username/anaconda3/bin/pip"
$ pip install qrcode

Do you use jupyter notebook in vs code? I prefer it because there you can easily select the environment you are using. And if you want to pip install anything in a environment you have to first activate it in the console with conda activate env name

How can I uninstall a corrupted PIP instance on Windows?

Today, I was trying to install Python 3.10.1.
I was successful in this, but, then, as I was installing Flask, pip will tell me that it installed, then, when I run the script, it says nothing is installed.
After a while, I realized I was running my Python scripts in Python 3.10.1, but I was running pip in Python 3.7. I did as this post said and ran pip --version to discover this.
I ran pip show flask to see where the module is, and it's in the Python 3.7 folder.
However, when I tried to uninstall Python 3.7, I can't find it in my start menu or in Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features. I believe I had uninstalled it a long time ago.
To counteract this, I did as some YouTube video said (I lost the link to it) and re-installed Python 3.10.1, checked the "Add to PATH" option, checked to install for all users, and checked on the pip install.
After doing this, I upgraded my pip version to the latest version, uninstalled Flask, and re-installed it.
It was still installed in the Python 3.7 folder.
Next, I decided I will just uninstall PIP.
I ran CMD as an Administrator and typed pip uninstall pip as instructed here.
However, when I did this, it says I'm missing access to the places it wants to modify.
I found that strange, so I checked if I'm actually running it Administrator, and, yes, I am.
I looked at the directories that it wants to modify and gave ADMINISTRATORS ownership of all of them.
Absolutely nothing changed and did it again.
I gave myself ownership of it and did it again.
Absolutely nothing changed.
Then, I decided to run pip uninstall pip again. It says pip is not installed. That's strange.
I typed pip, and the help command for pip shows up.
Then, I (probably stupidly) went to all the directories and files PIP listed that it wants to uninstall, and manually deleted them, then uninstalled Python 3.10.1, and made sure to install PIP from there.
And now we're back at Python 3.7, and pip still isn't installed somehow.
I don't know what's happening. I haven't coded anything in Python for 2 or 3 years, and I want to try again, but this is starting to confuse me. Could anyone help?
Edit: Based on the suggestion of one of the answerers, I tried to manually delete pip. I couldn't find it in %APPDATA%, but pip --version shows me the path.
I tried deleting pip from there, but it says I need permission from ADMINISTRATORS. I am an administrator on my computer -.-
Anyways, I tried to take ownership of the folder, but nothing ever came of that.

Try to locate %APPDATA%\pip\pip by typing it into the file explorer. Pip will be located there, and you should be able to delete it.

I've managed to fix the issue.
I found that if I press this button in the start menu search for Python 3.7, it's possible to uninstall it from there (Control Panel said it uninstalled it when I used that, but it didn't).
I think I had installed Python from the Microsoft Store, which is why I couldn't find it in %APPDATA%.
Once I did that, I tried to uninstall Python 3.10 then re-install it. It kept saying it's installed, but it wouldn't show up in Command Prompt.
I fixed this by installing Python 3.10 from the Microsoft Store instead.
This fixed the problem.

pip: command not found (OS X) - editing bash_profile doesn't work

I have installed Python 2.7 on Mac and installed pip (with the eventual goal of installing python-swiftclient: https://www.swiftstack.com/docs/integration/python-swiftclient.html )
Unfortunately I get the error "command not found" on using pip.
I have followed the instructions in this thread: pip: command not found I added export PATH=${PATH}:/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages (I verified that this is the correct path) to .bash_profile and ran the source command.
Pip is still not being found.
Anyone know a solution? (Keep in mind this is my first foray into installing python and doing command line stuff. I'm not a born unix user so installing packages and such is pretty new to me...)

When I use python on Mac, I simply install Anaconda, which is shipped with pip. So maybe you could use that.
