I want to use fstpso package in python which needs ANTLR3 python runtime.
I downloaded antlr_python_runtime-3.1.3.tar.gz from http://www.antlr3.org/download/Python/ and ran the command sudo python setup.py install. The output of the command was
Installed /path/to/python/packages/antlr_python_runtime-3.1.3-py2.7.egg
But after this when I try to import fstpso module in python, it throws the error
The ANTLR3 python runtime was not detected; pyfuzzy cannot import FST-PSO's FLC files
I am using python 2.7.12 on linux.
Is there something I did wrong? Or I have to update any PATH in the environment?

I'm fst-pso main developer. In the last days I reimplemented the Sugeno reasoner from scratch, to finally remove the pufuzzy/ANTL3 dependency. I just uploaded the new package on PyPI.
Now you can pip install the new version of fst-pso (v 1.4.0); please let me know if that works correctly.

from docx2pdf import convert <-- gets the error "unresolved import"
Also:
after installing it via pip I get the following message in addition to the installation being a success:
WARNING: The script docx2pdf.exe is installed in 'C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Python\Python37\Scripts' which is not on PATH. Consider adding this directory to PATH or, if you prefer to suppress this warning, use --no-warn-script-location.
I didn't get this message from other libraries.

In VS Code, when we use the global python environment to install the module, we can use the command "pip show docx2pdf" to check its storage location is: "\users\username\appdata\local\programs\python\python38\lib\ site-packages"
It is recommended that you reinstall the module "docx2pdf" or try to delete the previously installed "docx2pdf" folder and reinstall it.

Some days ago I installed Python3 (3.6.9) and opencv 3.4.10 in an Ubuntu 18.04 desktop system. I needed to downgrade opencv to 3.4.0 after some compilation problems (not related to python3), so I removed opencv 3.4.10 by using the sudo make uninstall order, and tested that it was uninstalled as if I tried importing it in python I got the following error:
libopencv_hfs.so.3.4: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
I thought installing 3.4.0 version would solve the problem but now that it's installed, when I try to import it in a python3 script I am getting the same error. I think this error must be related to the way python3 references the import files. I think it's still pointing to the uninstalled version of 3.4.10, but I can not find the way to change it.
Could someone please help me with this issue?

Using a virtualenv would resolve the issue. Check this out on how to use : Installing packages using pip and virtual environments
Once you're done installing requirements in the virtualenv, run your python script there only to use the specified versions.

I have been able to solve the problem. Thought I had uninstalled the previous version of opencv, there was still a cv2.sofile in my python virtual environment path, and it had not been replaced by the new cv2.so, so python tried to import the old one instead of the new one.
The old cv2.so (the one that was referenced when I imported cv2 in python) was here --> ~/.virtualenvs/cv/lib/python3.6/site-packages/cv2.so
The cv2.so I wanted to be used when imported was here --> /usr/local/lib/python3.6/site-packages/cv2/cv2.so so I replaced the one in the virtual environment path with the one in the lib directory and that did the trick :)
Im trying to download this project in python from github
and import it to eclipse ubuntu.
The interpreter of python is 3 and I noticed that after the git clone and running the setup.py, the output is in folder python 2.7 instead of python 3
And when I try to import scapy_http.http I get an exeption (probably the interpreter looking for it inside python 2.7 folder).
When I try to replace the interpreter to python 2.7 I get other exeption on import scapy.all
the import scapy suppose to come before import scapy_http
I installed scapy for python 3: pip3 install scapy-python3
So how can I import the scapy-http project to my eclipse project given the interpreter is python 3?

It should be ok if you did pip3 install scary-python3. It's a bit hard to tell exactly what's going on (please provide error messages, etc.) but I would suggest you try:
sudo python3 setup.py install
If you haven't already. The problem might be that you left off the 3 and thus it was stored in python 2 libraries.
I would like to write and run a Mesos framework with Python, so I need mesos.native module.
On Ubuntu:
I can build mesos from source code. I tried to easy_install all the generated egg files but none of them made it possible for Python to import mesos.native.
I also tried to download the egg from http://downloads.mesosphere.io/master/ubuntu/14.04/mesos-0.20.1-py2.7-linux-x86_64.egg and easy_install it, which didn't work as well.
On Max OS:
Got some problem building the mesos source code because of the issue. So I am wondering whether there is an easy way to install the Python module without building the source code.
BTW, why don't they make the mesos.native pip-installable like mesos.interface?

I just need to set PYTHONPATH as that in the file and run python. Mesos.native can be successfully loaded.
Problem:
I'd like to install Pmw 2.0.0 (project page here) so that I can use it with tkinter in python3. The setup script from the package detects which version of python you're using and installs the version that is appropriate for your system (Ubuntu 15 in my case). I can't find any references to switches to make it install the 2.0.0 instead of 1.3.3(the Python 2.7 version), nor have I been able to get the script to install to the python3 libraries.
What I've done so far:
I've changed the python version detector in the setup script from

packages=['Pmw', 'Pmw.Pmw_1_3_3', 'Pmw.Pmw_1_3_3.lib',]
to
if sys.version_info[0]<2:

to attempt to force the installer to default to the python3 version, which it does, but it installs them in the python2.7 libraries (/usr/local/lib/python2.7/distpackages).
What I want to do:
I'm looking for a way to force the installer to put the 3.4-compatible package into the python3 libraries. If that means getting it to install both packages in their respective correct directories, that's fine, too. I'm stumped about what to try next.

Instead of using the command sudo python setup.py build and then sudo python setup.py install, I should have been using python3 to execute the setup script. I've managed to outthink myself pretty badly on this one.
