Wolfram Alpha Python API not working - python

I'm using Python 3.6 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.3. I installed wolframalpha, and made sure my app id is valid (it works fine with URL requests using RESTful), yet I still get this error when I try and run the example from Wolfram's own documentation.
import wolframalpha
client = wolframalpha.Client('xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx')
res = client.query('temperature in Washington, DC on October 3, 2012')
Gives me these errors:

Any ideas? I have no idea what to do anymore. Thanks in advance.

ssl.SSLError: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify

indicates that you have to do import ssl also.

What seems to be the problem?
PD: I'm using a late 2014 MacMini with Monterey OS.
I got this solved. It seemed the error had to do with python certificates.
In macOS just open Macintosh HD
Now Select Application
Then Select Python folder (Python3.6, Python3.7 Whatever You are using just select this folder)
Then, double click on Install Certificates.command.
Now your error should be solved.

Reading a html table to python with pandas

I was trying to read in a table from a website with pandas.read_html. The code worked for me in the past but when I ran it today it was no longer working and I'm not sure why. I tried taking tables from different websites but that didn't work for me either. If anybody could tell me why it isn't working and suggest a fix I'd appreciate it.

How do I allow python (pycharm in particular) to accept incoming SSL certificates?

Before I begin here is my code in Python, for which I am trying to download an image from the web (I am just getting use to Python, not for any specific reason).
import random
import urllib.request
def download_web_image(url):
name = random.randrange(1, 1000)
full_name = str(name) + '.jpg'
urllib.request.urlretrieve(url, full_name)
download_web_image('https://www.thenewboston.com/photos/users/2/resized/a403d4e7fb26d7373009c97d68b2448b.jpg')
However when I run the code this error appears:
