400 - Bad Request when using the pushalot api under python - python

I have the below code that I trying to send messages to a Windows Phone using the Pushalot Api as Pushalot haven't got any examples.
I know my api key works fine as the cURL method works fine, but my modified python script isn't working, keep getting -- 400, Bad Request and I'm not sure why.
Any ideas?

Hasura API with Python POST gives 404 Error

I'm trying to use the Hasura API to get the contents of my database. The appropriate endpoint is v1alpha1/pg_dump.
I've tried doing the following in Python:

If I do requests.get, I get information back (html code, although nothing particularly useful). However, if I do requests.post (which is required by Hasura: https://hasura.io/docs/1.0/graphql/core/api-reference/pgdump.html), I get a 404 error. I don't understand why. It's not an authentication error, but a page not found error.
Have I built my url incorrectly? Is there something I'm missing? The port is correct (and if I change it in the code, it gives me a different error telling me the port is invalid/closed). I'm not sure what else to change.
So, I have tried in my own Digital Ocean 1 click deployment environment. I have not secured it so I am not providing any headers. It works fine as follows:

If you have used the HASURA_GRAPHQL_ENABLED_APIS env variable and not included pgdump, that could be a reason it would be disabled.

Is it possible to make a POST request to Slack with AWS Lambda using only native libraries?

I am trying to make a POST request to Slack using webhooks. I can send a curl to my Slack instance locally but when trying to do so in lambda I run into trouble trying to send the payload.
Everything I've seen says I must use and zip custom libraries but for the purposes of what I'm doing I need to use native python code. Is there a way to send this POST request?

This code gives me a 400 error which is how I know I'm hitting the URL I want (URL is in the message variable) but every attempt at sending a payload by adding headers and a text body seems to fail.

All the messages to be posted on slack are put on a SNS topic which in turn is read by a lambda and posted to the slack channel using the slack webhook url.

Python HTTPSConnection encryption and Name or service not found error

I’m trying to connect to the OPS API but get an error when trying to connect to the url. I get the access_token just fine as detailed in the documentation (page 34), but when I try to connect to the url I’m interested in, I get a ‘Name or Service not found’ error.
The documentation states (page 35) that the client should access the OPS resource over an encrypted HTTPS connection, which I think might be the missing step in my code creating this error (or not).
Below is the code I use (replacing #### with my access_token):

Not sure why this issue was happening earlier, but it seems to be fine now when I run the following code:

I get a status response code of 200, and I can parse the content just fine.

Iinvalid subscription key when using Microsoft Emotion API for Video in API Testing Console and in Python 2.7

I only manage to use the Emotion API subscription key for pictures but never for videos. It makes no difference whether I use the API Testing Console or try to call the Emotion API by Pathon 2.7. In both cases I get a response status 202 Accepted, however when opening the Operation-Location it says

On the Emotion API explanatory page it says that Response 202 means that
The service has accepted the request and will start the process later.
In the response, there is a "Operation-Location" header. Client side should further query the operation status from the URL specified in this header.
Then there is Response 401, which is exactly what my Operation-Location contains. I do not understand why I'm getting a response 202 which looks like response 401.

There are further examples on the internet and they all seem to work but replicating any of them never worked for me. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
The Video Feature of Emotion API retires October 30th, so maybe you should change your procedure to screenshots anyways.
But for your question: The API returns you an URL where your results are accessible. You cannot open this URL in your browser, this will give you the notice of "invalid key", instead you need to call over python again this URL including your key.
I will post you my code how to get the score, I am using Python 3, so there might be some adjustments necessary. Only "tricky" point is getting the Operation ID, which is just the ID in the URL ( =location in my case) which leads to your request. Rest of the parameters like subscription key etc. is as before.

Did you verify your API call is working using curl? Always prototype calls using curl first. If it works in curl but not in Python, use Fiddler to observe the API request and response.

How to post to hipchat from python

I have some python tools that I would like to have send updates to a hipchat room. I do this elsewhere with shell scripts, so I know it works in our environment, but I can't seem to get the token pushed to the hipchat API. Gotta be something simple.
First, this authenticates properly and delivers a message:

In case it helps, here's a working V2 API example. I did find the V2 API to be a bit more sensitive about getting the form of the request exactly right. But, it might be more forward-looking to conform to the V2 API (though the original question seemed to pertain to V1).

As Ianzz said, try including it in the URL query string. Although clunky (you probably want to hash it!), it definitely works.
The other strange quirk is the tokens that you get through Hipchat; I had no end of problems earlier this evening using my own personal token; it seemed to correspond to v2 beta of the API. If you go in through Group Admin and get a token from there, it may help.
