Python App Engine endpoints_proto_datastore ImportError - python

So I have the endpoints_proto_datastore folder at the root of my project and yet I get this error each time I try to run it....
File "C:\pythonworkspace\...\endpoints_proto_datastore\utils.py", line 8, in <module>
from endpoints_proto_datastore.ndb import model
ImportError: cannot import name model
Anyone have any ideas?

I think you should use
from endpoints_proto_datastore.ndb import EndpointsModel

Python - Flask ImportError: cannot import name 'Userauth' from 'models'

I learn to made apps in Flask, I got an error cz I think I made an circular import but I am not sure and really new in Flask. I have this in application.py:
application = Flask(
__name__, static_folder="client/build", static_url_path="/client/build"
)
DB = SQLAlchemy(application)
jwt = JWTManager(application)
from models import Userauth, Product
...
if __name__ == "__main__":
from models import Userauth, Product
application.run()
I know that looks weird because double command from models import Userauth, Product, but if I just write the second command (before application.run()) I got an error to running flask run
my model.py:
from application import DB
class Userauth(DB.Model):
...
class Product(DB.Model):
...
If I run python application.py I got this error:
(venv) /% python application.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "application.py", line 28, in <module>
from models import Userauth, Product
File "//models.py", line 1, in <module>
from application import DB
File "//application.py", line 28, in <module>
from models import Userauth, Product
ImportError: cannot import name 'Userauth' from 'models' (/models.py)
Do you know how to deal with this problem? How is the good design pattern in Flask apps should be?

PyCharm & console don't let me use local modules

I'm absolutely frustraded about the fact that I can't start my Python journey. I have a simple service which I use as a training with Python which is new for me.
I've downloaded PyCharm and as long as I had one file, everything was fine.
That I decided to to some structure and suddenly my project stopped working.
I have a structure like:
project/
project/employees
project/employees/__init__.py
project/employees/employees.py
project/server.py
project/venv/
project/venv/(...)
The project is a source root.
And yet I have something like this:

ImportError: cannot import name 'Employees'
I tested this with VS Code and CMD and the same happend.
I would be grateful for any suggestions!

employees.py:
from flask_jsonpify import jsonify
from flask_restful import Resource
from server import db_connect
class Employees(Resource):
(...)
class EmployeesName(Resource):
(...)
The problem here is that you have a circular dependency.
In employees.py you import server.py; and vice versa.
You have to rearrange your .py files in order that not to happen anymore.

Newbie to Python: Imported Lib

I have this structure
02.SensorTag/
sensortag_example.py
bluepy/bluepy/sensortag.py
bluepy/bluepy/btle.py
So the sensortag_example.py is importing the sensortag.py
import bluepy
from bluepy.bluepy import sensortag
When I ran the code it complains about the import from the sensortag.

I've tried to add a new path but it didin't work. If I move the program to the first folder bluepy and change the import to "from bluepy import sensortag" it works, but I'll need to import other libs so I don't want to let it in bluepy folder.

Because sensortag.py is in the same directory as btle.py, add a . in front of the import
from .btle import UUID, Peripheral, DefaultDelegate, AssignedNumbers
This is known as a relative import: https://docs.python.org/2.5/whatsnew/pep-328.html
As both btle.py and sensortag.py are in the same directory so by looking at your error I am assuming that you tried to import it from previous directory. So place from .btle import UUID in sensortag.py should solve the issue.
You should create two init.py file.

ImportError: cannot import name SlotMap

I am encountering an import error

This should be a straightforward issue, but I can’t seem to find the problem. If I place the SlotMapper.py file in the same directory as the GUI I am using the import of SlotMap occurs without error. If I move the file to a directory under the current working directory and add - sys.path.append(os.path.join(os.getcwd(), 'appLib')) I receive the error above. See import statements and modification of PYTHONPATH below. I know the PYTHONPATH has been modified after I checked it from the debugger. I also know since there are other files under appLib required for the GUI to operate. Finally, I have checked all of the imported files for a circular reference and find none… So stuck. Any suggestions welcome

The reason this is not working is because your file is named SlotMapper.pyw. The line
from SlotMapper import SlotMap
is trying to import SlotMap from your current file, hence the error. Try renaming your file to slotmapper_test.pyw or something like that, and everything should work as expected. You don't want your code files to have the same names as any modules you're trying to import, as the import mechanism will try to find the classes/functions there first, instead of searching your modules first.

ImportError and Django driving me crazy

OK, I have the following directory structure (it's a django project):
-> project
--> app
and within the app folder, there is a scraper.py file which needs to reference a class defined within models.py
I'm trying to do the following:

from project.app.models import ClassName
and this code just isn't working. I get an error of:

This code above used to work, but broke somewhere along the line and I'm extremely confused as to why I'm having problems. On SnowLeopard using python2.5.

Whoa whoa whoa. You should never ever have to put your project name in any of your app code. You should be able to reuse app code across multiple projects with no changes. Pinax does this really well and I highly recommend checking it out for a lot of django best practices.
The worst thing you could do here is to hard code your absolute path into your app or settings. You shouldn't do this because it will break during deployment unless you do some import local_settings hacking.
If you have to access the project root directory, try what pinax has in settings.py...

The thing is that it looks like you are trying to access the models module within the same app and this is waaay easier.
To import models.py inside scraper.py in the same directory just use import models or import models as app_models if you already have something named models in scraper.py (django.db.models for instance). Are you familiar with Python module conventions?
However, the best way is probably to stick with the django idiom, from ... import ... statement:
from app import models
If this doesn't work automatically, then something is wrong in your settings.py.
You don't indicate if project is located in /home/userspace/Development/. I'll assume that it is.
Make sure there's an (empty by default) file named __init__.py in project and another one in app.
EDIT: Next thing to try: Fire up the Python command line in the script's directory and try the following:

import project.app as app
import project.app.models as models
models.__dict__.keys()
Do they all work? If so, what is the last line's output? If not, which dies first?
