Calling Matlab function from python - python

I have one project in which I have one one matlab code which I have to run tho' Django.
I tried installing Mlabwrap ..But it gives me following error.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
File "mlabwrap.py", line 188, in <module>
import mlabraw
ImportError: No module named mlabraw
I also tried ompc (http://ompc.juricap.com/) but after addpath...it gives me a error...
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
File "C:\Python27\lib\ihooks.py", line 407, in import_module
q, tail = self.find_head_package(parent, str(name))
File "C:\Python27\lib\ihooks.py", line 479, in find_head_packag
raise ImportError, "No module named '%s'" % qname
ImportError: No module named 'addpath'

Step 1:
Download the matlabwrap.py module from http://mlabwrap.sourceforge.net/
Step 2:
Copy the folder into your site packages folder ie. C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages
Step 3:
Using windows? go to start, and open cmd line by typing cmd enter
Step 4: navigate to the aforementioned site packages directory using cd C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages enter
step 5: type python setup.py install
you should see the cmd iterate through the install process
step 6: re-open python and type import matlabwrap - it should import without problems now

I would suggest you to download those modules and put them separately into different folder.
The you can use them in your django app like this:
#settings.py:
sys.path.append("/home/visgean/scripty/pymodules/") # django modules like django_filters
They are obvisously installed wrongly. You can reinstall them or download as I suggested... Anyway it would be nice to know how exactly you installed them...

ImportError: No module named parse python/node js

I am calling .py file from node.js using npm i cmd-node on windows it is working well and executing my .py file from .js file, but when I am deploying it on the server giving following error:
Note: I am not importing parse anywhere, it may be part if any dependency.
python script cmd error: Error: Command failed: python covert_to_csv.py

You are probably using different versions of python on your local machine compared to the server. Make sure it is the same version as your local machine and it'll work.

Seahub fails to run initial start with ModuleNotFoundError

I'm currently trying to install seafile 7.1.4 on a Raspberry Pi 4 following the official guide (https://download.seafile.com/published/seafile-manual/deploy/using_mysql.md). The setup went smoothly, but when I try to start the seahub (./seahub start) for the first time I get the following error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "check_init_admin.py", line 351, in <module>
rpc = RPC()
File "check_init_admin.py", line 284, in __init__
import ccnet
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ccnet'
I've been on google for the past two hours, but can't find a solution to this problem. What am I doing wrong?
I ran into the same issue. There's a bug in the 7.1.4 package. Seafile uses some local site packages. They (apparently) used to be under ${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib/python3.6/site-packages, now the are under ${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib/python3.7/site-packages
To fix:
open seahub.sh in the editor of your choice.
find the line that says:
export PYTHONPATH=${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib/python3.6/site-packages:${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib64/python3.6/site-packages:${INSTALLPATH}/seahub:${INSTALLPATH}/seahub/thirdpart:$PYTHONPATH
change it to read:
export PYTHONPATH=${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib/python3.7/site-packages:${INSTALLPATH}/seafile/lib64/python3.7/site-packages:${INSTALLPATH}/seahub:${INSTALLPATH}/seahub/thirdpart:$PYTHONPATH

How to run a file in pycharm?

I have a project that I imported into pycharm. It looks like this:
The file grabber.py references class Fetcher within fetcher.py like this:
from grabber.fetcher import Fetcher
from the root folder Automaton I can run grabber.py from the command line with this command:
python -m grabber.grabber
But, I want to run grabber.py from pycharm. When I try I get this error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:/Automaton/grabber/grabber.py", line 1, in <module>
from grabber.fetcher import Fetcher
File "C:\Automaton\grabber\grabber.py", line 1, in <module>
from grabber.fetcher import Fetcher
ImportError: No module named 'grabber.fetcher'; 'grabber' is not a package
How do I get pycharm to run the file the same way I can from the command line?
My problem was pretty silly. I was having the problem because I had a package grabber and a file within it called grabber.py That name collision caused the problem. I renamed grabber.py and it works.

ImportError: cannot import name pynestkernel

So I spend last night trying to install nest (and pynest) to use with PyNN, and I am currently stuck. When I try to import nest I get:
>>> import nest
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
File "/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/nest/__init__.py", line 52, in <module>
from . import pynestkernel as _kernel
ImportError: cannot import name pynestkernel
However, when I make the make installcheck it passes all the pynest tests.
I am using OS x Yosemite, and I did a new install of python 2.7.9 using macport.
Tried:
easy_install python-nest
Now I am getting a new error.
Getting:
>>> import pyNN.nest as sim
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module>
import pyNN.nest as sim
File "/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/pyNN/nest/__init__.py", line 13, in <module>
from pyNN.nest import simulator
File "/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/pyNN/nest/simulator.py", line 500, in <module>
state = _State() # a Singleton, so only a single instance ever exists
File "/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/pyNN/nest/simulator.py", line 60, in __init__
self._cache_num_processes = nest.GetKernelStatus()['num_processes'] # avoids blocking if only some nodes call num_processes
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'GetKernelStatus'
Try using setuptools to install nest with easy_install python-nest.
I am trying something similar, with the further goal of having it working with python 3. So far I used the following commands:
git clone https://github.com/nest/nest-simulator.git
cd nest-simulator
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr/local/nest -DPYTHON_EXECUTABLE=/usr/local/bin/python3 -DPYTHON_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/local/Cellar/python3/3.5.1/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.5/include/python3.5m -DPYTHON_LIBRARY=/usr/local/Cellar/python3/3.5.1/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.5/lib/libpython3.5.dylib .
make
make install
which runs without errors and I can happily run nest. Iam still having troubles running pyNN (see https://laurentperrinet.github.io/sciblog/posts/2016-06-01-compiling-and-using-pynn-%2B-nest-%2B-python3.html)

Python error: No module named RuntimeError

Im trying to figured out this problem. Yesterday I installed PyScripter and since then, scripts doesnt work. When I run any script (in PyScripter or IDLE) and trying to "import arcpy", it gets this error:
import arcpy
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module>
import arcpy
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\arcpy\arcpy\__init__.py", line 17, in <module>
from geoprocessing import gp
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\arcpy\arcpy\geoprocessing\__init__.py", line 14, in <module>
from _base import *
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\arcpy\arcpy\geoprocessing\_base.py", line 14, in <module>
import arcgisscripting
File "C:\Python26\ArcGIS10.0\lib\arcgisscripting.py", line 81, in <module>
from RuntimeError import RuntimeError
ImportError: No module named RuntimeError
Have somebody any suggestion how to fix it?
Thanks to all very much!
Sounds like the module is not installed properly (or at all). To verify, do the following:
open a shell and start the python shell by typing python
(If this doesn't display an error, check that python is added to your system path or if it is even installed at all. But if you've used Python on said machine maybe system path issue)
enter the commmand help('modules')
review the list of modules that's returned to see whether arcpy is included
if not, then you may have to reinstall the module
