How to send form-data using python requests? - python

I'm trying to send a POST request using python 3 and the requests library. When I use postman I'm obtaining the result that I'm expecting, so I copy the code generated by Postman, and in that way it is working.

To be more clear in the part of why is not working is the difference that exists in both results.

So I tried to do the same using my own code, I've tried to send the data in the file part, and in the data part but is not working. Reading other StackOverflow questions, they suggest to use the MultipartEncoder that is part of the Requests Toolbelt library.
So my implementation ended up like this:

If you try both codes, you can see how the results are different. And I'm interested in the first one, the one that is got with the code that was generated by Postman.
I don't know why my code is not working, what I am doing wrong?
What I'm trying to say is that somehow with my code the request is not being send properly so the website is not able to read it.

Python API Error - 'faultstring': 'JSONThreatProtection

First time trying to extract data via an API. I'm getting stuck with how to pass the raw data. I have been able to get it to work in postman but I can't quite figure it out with Python.
I've been getting this error:

Your code posts the data as form encoded data, not as JSON. That's because you use the data parameter to supply the payload. To fix, encode the data as JSON using json.dumps():
response = requests.post(url, headers=headers, data=json.dumps(data))
But a better way is to pass the data to requests using the json parameter:
response = requests.post(url, headers=headers, json=data)
Using the json parameter is easier and it will also add the Content-Type: application/json header for you.

Tomtom webfleet order api gives 40 general error

I am trying to insert a destination order using action=insertDestinationOrder
I am using POST method with all required parameters, but keep getting

Python HTTP Post with upload file and headers generated from Postman

I'm using Python 2.7.
I want to make a HTTP POST using requests, where I upload a file and a key that must go in the HTTP Headers.
For that I've used the application Postman, where it works really fine.
On Postman I've added only the necessary header, which is a Authorization with some key.
On the body, Ive choosen form-data and then the key is an input_image, and they the image itself.
Now I want to replicate this into Python2.7, so I've chose to see the Python code on Postman, which was this one:

This simply doesn't work. It has the same behaviour as if I didn't send any image using Postman. It looks like the payload string is not being send correctly.
Question:
What is wrong with this Postman auto-generation code in order to send a HTTP POST with image upload and with header at the same time in Python?
I think Postman is doing some logic we are not really aware of. But the package requests provide a way to upload images.

According to the server you are sending the image to, the parameters name, this code might need to be slightly changed.
the only trick works here is your code should be same as you post request in postman, no extra headers need to be added , your post request should look like the same as it is in postman.
I could do this by changing my file to an image file and then posting it in my post request.

Python mulitpart/formdata POST request within Zapier Code

I'm currently working with Zapier to automate some tasks but I got stuck on the following :
I'm trying to send a POST request using the Zapier Webhooks containing a file. I could make it work trough postman as the API of Debitoor (that's where I am sending to) is pretty clear.
However, I can not make it work within Zapier Webhooks. I also tried to use Zapier Code (Python) as I can view the python code from the postman. But I am not familiar with that and might need some help to get it started.

I was trying to import AWS S3 files to my API.
It turns out that Zapier hydrated my file just as described here.
Then I successfully extracted the content of my file and sent it to my API like this:

Add a member using python requests and Mailchimp API v3

I am trying to learn more about using http requests and the Mailchimp API, but I cannot seem to figure out how to add a member to list using a post request. I have tried multiple configurations, and I guess I made some headway since my response went from a 405, to a 401, now I'm getting a 400. I assume this means that I am being authenticated, but I am formatting the request incorrectly.
I have gotten it to work the python mailchimp library, but I want to actually learn how to use the HTTP requests. I could find very few examples of using python requests with Mailchimp.
(obviously I put in my actual list_id, my_username, and my_apikey)

My problems were #1 I was double encoding the json data and #2 mailchimp recognizes obviously BS email addresses like blah#blah.com
